The Department of Energy (DOE) Albuquerque Operations Office (AL) is seeking sources capable of providing training, logistical, and technical support services for the Transportation Safeguards Division (TSD). These services are required to assist in the training of special agents and transportation safeguards system, operating and maintaining the Transportation Safeguards Training Center (TSTC), and supporting the logistical and administrative requirements of TSD. In the area of training support, the contractor will be responsible for identifying and developing courses in such subject areas as driving, firearms, intermediate use of force, law enforcement, leadership/management, physical fitness, specialized training, and tactics for special agents. The logistical support required includes, but is not limited to, support for facilities, training venues, equipment, food services, utilities, janitorial, maintenance, transportation, staff/student lodging, temporary labor, etc. Administrative support includes assisting TSD in project documentation, classified document control, property management, budget, acquisition, scheduling, planning, logistics, travel, etc. Technical support services similar to those described above are currently being performed by ESSEX Corporation under Contract No. DE-AC04-93AL91124 which is due to expire September 14, 1998. All interested, responsible sources should submit qualifications and capabilities statements for consideration no later than 4:00 PM, MST, December 8, 1997. All firms shall indicate their status as an 8(a), small, small/disadvantaged, or large business under SIC 8999, $5 million.
