58 -- SATELLITE CONSTELLATION SIMULATOR POC Roland Baez, 850-882-9391, Ext 5050; Tanya Lambert, 850-882-8601, Ext 5080 The Range Instrumentation Systems Program Office (RISPO), Contracting Division (ASC/WMRK), intends to award a sole source firm fixed priced contract modification to Interstate Electronics Corporation, contract F08626-96-C-0105, Translated Global Position System (GPS)Range System (TGRS), for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) GPS Satellite Simulators (IEC Part Number 76270000-505), related optional items, and spares to be used with the Translated GPS Range System (TGRS). IEC produces the only GPS Satellite Simulator that simulates a GPS translator. Signals from the simulator will be used in the GPS Translator Processor (GTP), the ground subsystem of the TGRS currently under development, for range safety pre-mission check out and to support the range readiness. The following are key GPS Satellite Simulator requirements: (1) output GPS L1 and L2 signals, (2) output GPS L1 and L2 signals with delays and amplitude effects of a GPS Translator on a platform with dynamics 10,000 m/s velocity, 75 g acceleration, and 75 g/s jerk, (3) output 434 Hz differential sine wave analog signal, (4) output 6 MHz differential sine wave analog signal, (5) provide 24-channel simulation capability of both C/A-code and P(Y) code, (6) capability to support the RAIM testing on the direct GPS and translated GPS signals, (7) capability to accept the trajectory state vector data, (8) support WAGE message structure, (9) support near-far scenarios, and (10) S-A / AS capability. It is anticipated an award will be made for three (3) Satellite Constellation Simulators with options to purchase up to two additional Simulators not later than 31 Dec 2000. This is not a request for proposal. Sole source award is anticipated in January 1998.
