This will be an open -- continuous (Evergreen) Special Item Number. Offers may be submitted at anytime. This requirement will be synopsized annually. The definition of the New Technology Special Item Number (SIN) is a new product or an upgraded product (as to be virtually a New Product) made available to the commercial or government marketplace. This product must meet the Special Provision as outlined below: Items (products or services) that provide a new function/attribute/service, items not currently in the supply system which meet the needs of Government customers, or items that significantly improved an existing function/attribute/service such that Government customers would negatively be impacted if the items were not immediately added to the schedule. The New TechnologySIN 602-1006 is intended for the temporary placement of new items which can be characterized under this schedule, until the items can be formally placed on an existing or newly created SIN in this schedule.
