Z -- REMOVE/REPLACE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS SOL 544-003-98 DUE 102997 POC Contract Specialist, Virgil Thompson, (803) 695-6783 The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, tools, labor, equipment, permits, license, testing, certifications and supervision to remove/replace "Underground Storage Tanks", Project 544-97-101, located at the Veterans Medical Center in Columbia, SC 29209-1639 in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications. The work includes general construction of tank removal and replacement over the entire station. The(10) ten existing underground fuel storage tanks will be sampled and removed/abandoned in accordance with the plans and specifications. New aboveground steel tanks and vaulted steel tanks will be installed. Complete spill/overflow protection devices will be installed. Monitoring will be connected to the existing Landis and Staefa EMCS system. Estimated dollar value of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Estimated issue date is 9/26/97. Estimated bid opening date is 10/29/97. Drawings and specifications will be available on or about 9/26/97 at a cost of $30.00 per set (Non-Refundable) Cashier's/Certified check or money order only.
