Musgrove, Contracting Officer (301) 295-6491 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation Number N00168-97-Q-STER is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-1. This solicitation is unrestricted. CLIN 0001: One (1) each Sterilizer, steam, double door, sliding. Specifications: 18 cycle capacity with programmed or programmable gravity and liquid cycles capable of delivering 212-280 degrees farenheit of moist heat. Solid 316L stainless steel chamber and doors, cross contamination seal, one door is recessed, 316L stainless steel steam piping, 30KW, 240 Volt, 60 Hz, electric stainless steel steam generator rack and two (2) shelves, loading cart, carriage and track assembly, chamber dimension: 20x20x38. CLIN 0002: One (1) each Sterilizer, steam, single door, sliding. Specifications: same as above except cross contamination seal is not required. CLIN 0003: One (1) job installation of sterilizers, location Lima Peru. CLIN 0004: Three (3) sets Operator and Service manuals, two (2) copies English and one (1) copy Spanish. Only two (2) of the sets of manuals, one (1) English and one (1) Spanish will be shipped with the sterilizers. Quotation should include shipping charges to the American Embassy, NAMRID, Callo Port Terminal, Lima Peru. FAR 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offerors-Commercial", is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2 "Evaluation- Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability and price. Technical capability is approximately equal to price. Award will be made to the offeror that meets the solicitations minimum criteria for technical acceptability at the lowest price. To be determined technically acceptable, the offeror must furnish product literature that demostrates the products offered meets all requirements stated in the above purchase description. Offerors shall include a complete copy of the provision FAR 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items", with its proposal. FAR 52.212-4 "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items" is incorporated by reference and appllies to this acquisition and resulting contract.
