Over 2,000 participants, 60 private sector exhibits, and 25 state and local exhibitors attended. JETT*CON '97 is expecting 2,500 participants, over 100 private sector exhibitors, and 20 state and local showcase exhibits. The purpose of JETT*CON '97 is to educate and inform federal, state, local, and private providers of workforce development services how technology can help them to provide better, faster, and more cost effective services to the public. Technology is revolutionizing the way we live, learn, and work, and is having a profound impact on the way workforce development services are delivered. States and localities are spending millions of dollars on technology as they try to harness the power of the information age in training America's workforce.
