Stang, Contracting Officer, 317-542-4702 The Defense Finance & Accounting Service -- Indianapolis Center intends to issue a combined synopsis/request for quotations for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quotation (RFQ). Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The RFQ Number is MDA260-97-Q-0047. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The provisions at FAR clauses 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes and Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, and any addenda thereto, apply to this acquisition. The provisions at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of 52.212-3 with their quotation. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification (SIC) is 2531 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Defense Finance & Accounting Service intends to award a specified make and model purchase order for 30 each Egan Mobile Instruction Centre with Lock, Product No. ICM-SL. The Mobile Instruction Centre is equipped with electronic equipment shelves, 1 fixed and 2 adjustable at 1 1/4" increments; a document camera; drawer; and an articulation keyboard arm. The door on the front opens for easy access to equipment wiring. Casters are standard for this Mobile Instruction Centre for ease of mobility. This would also be used as a lectern. The finish is Elex Slate (SL). The dimensions are 32" width, 29" depth and 48" height. Offerors quoting alternative brands must submit documented proof that the alternative brand is comparable.
