Fax at (703) 607-4611 The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to negotiate a contract with Telecast Fiber Systems, Inc. of 102 Grove Street, Worcester, MA for commercial fiber optical equipment. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being solicited and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is Request for Quotation number DCA100-97-Q-0181. The provisions and clauses for the RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation Circular 90-45 (or latest). The SIC code is 3357 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The specific item required is a rack mounted audio/video fiber mux system which consists of the following parts and quantities thereof: 4 each rack shelf Viper 442 for AV modules part no. V2RU-000, 8 each TX/RX NTSC Video Module set part no. TX/RX103-C-S, 4 each TX/RX Audio Master set 5 part no. TX/RX280-C-S, 2 each ClearCom Aux Module set w/RS422 part no. AUX-C/C-2, and 4 each AC/DC Power Supplies part no. ADAP-AC-01, which are only available through Telecast Systems, Inc. and the Government has no other technical data to describe the item. The offeror may propose a more recent version if the item cited has become obsolete. The place of delivery will be in Washington, D.C. 20734; exact address will be provided at contract award. Delivery will be 30 days after award or sooner unless the offeror proposes a different time in accordance with standard commercial terms and conditions. Offerors will use this information to propose delivery FOB destination with all freight included in the offered price.
