DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- The work includes construction of new Load Equalization Tank, chlorine contact tank, aerobic digester, sludge drying beds, and new aeration piping; relocation of existing laboratory and aeration blower facilities; demolition of existing sludge handling equipment and chlorination/dechlorination process tanks, and any incidental related work complete and ready for use. The work shall be located at the Sewer Treatment Plant at San Clemente Island, California. -- The estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is 120 calendar days. -- Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1629 and the annual size standard is $17 million. -- It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20mile radius of the issuing office.
