Contruction consists of a new Air Traffic Control Tower at the Johnstown-Cambria County Airport, Pennsylvania. The new tower will serve as a training facility for air traffic controllers from the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, the needs of the military, and it will also serve the civilian commuter and general aviation needs of the airport. Project construction consists of a flight tower, ground floor, admin areas and mechanical building of masonary type construction on both drilled peirs and spread foundations. Other construction consists of precast panels, built-up roofing, electric service, storm water retention, parking lots, access roads, utilities, HVAC systems, fire pumps, emergency generators, information and security systems and site improvements. A minimum of 65% of the total planned subcontracting dollars shall be placed with small business concerns.
