R -- ARCHAEOLOGICAL TEST EXCAVATIONS/DATA RECOVERY SOL 1422-N660-R97-3011 DUE 073097 POC Nancy Thompson (303) 236-9437, Procurement Clerk The Bureau of Land Management(BLM) has a requirement for a multi-year requirement to conduct an Archaeological Test Excavation/Data Recovery at various sites located near Elko, Nevada. The purpose of the project is two-fold. First to fulfill a legal obligation on the affects of the Marys River Reverse Land Exchange and second, the project is designed to produce a comprehensive overview of the prehistoric use of the Tule Valley through time. Three phases of the work include 1) initial testing of six prehistoric sites and production of an initial report; 2) further tesing/data recovery of a sample of these sites; and 3) analysis and completion of a final research report. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. It is anticipated that solicitation documents will be available on or about June 28, 1997. (0164)
