R -- A NATIONAL CHILD CARE INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER SOL RFP No. 105-98-1600 POC Contracting Officer, J. Blair Hayes (202) 401-5404, Contract Specialist, LaSandra Brown (202) 401-5399 The Administration for Children and Families is soliciting proposals for services to provide a national resource center for information and technical assistance to Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grantees, especially during the changes brought about by welfare reform. The technical assistance services to be developed through this project include: create a national information management system for ACF grantees; support and promote the capacity of States to plan and evaluate Statewide child care programs that are sensitive to the needs of working families; develop and maintain information resources; answer requests for information about child care; maintain a web presence for the center; establish and maintain a regional liaison network of TA specialists to identify and provide TA to State child care administrators, work with national organizations interested in child care issues to promote the healthy outcomes of children in low-income families, etc. The anticipated period of performance is twelve (12) months with two (1) year options, if the options are exercised.
