Marsha.Harris.ramstein.af.mil. USAFE Contracting Squadron, Rhine
Ordnance Barracks, Kaiserslautern, Germany will issue a Request for
Quote (RFQ) on or about 25 Jun 97 for the procurement of playground
equipment for 18 USEUCOM Child Development and Youth Centers -- 10 in
Germany, 6 in England, 1 in Italy, and 1 in Turkey. The requirement
consists of two zones. Zone 1 includes all playgrounds in Germany,
Italy and Turkey. Zone 2 includes all sites in England. Offerors may
submit quotes for 1 or both of the zones. As a part of it's quote each
offeror shall submit a design layout which incorporates new equipment
provided by the offeror into the existing playgrounds. The budget for
this acquisition will be made available in the RFQ. The U.S.
Government will not specify the equipment to be provided, nor will it
provide a layout of the existing site. As a result, it will be
necessary for vendors to visit each playground to determine the
existing layout, equipment and landscape prior to submitting it's
quote. Be advised, an in-country representative will be required to
perform the site visit in Turkey. Site visits will be held as follows:
7 Jul 97 -- Spangdahlem and Bitburg, Germany; 8 Jul 97 --
Geilenkirchen and Rhein Main, Germany; 9 Jul 97 -- Sembach and
Ramstein, Germany; 10 Jul 97 -- Ghedi, Italy; 11-12 Jul 97 -- Izmir,
Turkey; 14 Jul 97 -- Lakenheath, England; and 15 Jul 97 -- Fairford,
Croughton and Molesworth, England. The dates for the site visits are
firm. No other site visits will be held. The U.S. Government will not
reimburse any expenses, including those for site visits, associated
with preparation of the offeror's quote. Quotes shall include (1) the
design proposed for each playground and detailed descriptions of the
equipment and landscaping to be provided; (2) the price to purchase
equipment and modify each playground to meet the design. The equipment
shall be delivered FOB destination to all countries, with the
exception of Turkey. Equipment shipped to Turkey will be delivered via
U.S. Government means;(3) evidence supporting the offeror's ability to
implement the design and complete; (4) installation; (5) a minimum of
a two year warranty, inclusive of all maintenance and repair parts; (6)
certification that the completed playgrounds will comply with U.S.
Consumer Product Safety Commission and American Society for Testing and
Materials Standards; (7) certification that installation will comply
with Industry Standards Organization and host nation requirements; (8)
installation schedule dates, with completion of all playgrounds no
later than 180 calendar days after issuance of the order; (9) shipping
data for items to be installed in Turkey. Following evaluation of the
quotes, a purchase order will be issued to the contractor providing
the best value/most advantageous offer, price and other factors
considered. If you wish to participate in this acquisition, please

individuals attending the site visits no later than 23 Jun 97. No more
than 2 representatives from each company will be allowed to attend the
site visits. The RFQ will be released via E-mail. If you want to

addition, it will be published on the Intermet at

responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This
