70 -- GENERAL-PURPOSE AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT (INCLUDING FIRMWARE), SOFTWARE, SUPPLIES, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SOL 6TSA-97-DJH-0128 DUE 051297 POC Point of Contact -- Contact Delta Helm by fax (816)823-3322 The General Services Administration is modifying the above soliciation to reflect its intent to issue a contract to Marta Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 6TSA-97-DJH-0125. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-42. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement shall cover the following items: CLIN 1. Per client Statement of Work (SOW), provide system support in the realm of hardware/software procurement, systems integration, testing and evaluation, installation services, extended life cycle support to the current software used by the Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) Integrated Data Display Systems (MIDDS), engineering upgrades, training, documentation and new software development in response to changing requirements and technological advances. Software includes, but is not limited to, MARTA SAND/FOS Packages, MARTA NEXRAD Radar Package, MARTA NEXRAD Direct Connect Radar Package, MARTA Geostationary Satellite Processing Package, MARTA Satellite Distribution Package, MARTA Gridded Data Package, MARTA Lightning Package. FOB Stennis Space Center, MS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within 3 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
