Herting The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is soliciting firms to provide professional services for defined benefit pension plan benefit administration and participant services in support of activities to administer trusteed plans. The services sought include, but will not be limited to, retrieving plan records and/or collecting plan records; establishing/developing plan and participant records and/or a PBGC database for a given plan; activating deferred vested participants when eligible; processing address and direct deposit changes and deaths; processing and adjusting benefits for beneficiaries/survivors; authorizing payment updates; providing notifications in accordance with plan provisions and PBGC regulations and policies for such changes as offsets due to other employer-sponsored plans; adjusting the form of benefit due to death of payee; responding to oral and written inquiries from participants and other interested parties; providing technical support and assistance of special activities and programs such as customer services. The period of performance for the base year shall be from October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998, with four one- year options for renewal.
