Page, 301-496-6546/Contract Specialist The National Library of Medicine has a requirement for serials produced in the United Kingdom, Western Europe, and Japan and sold on subscription. NLM requires procurement of some 4,600 subscriptions for some 4,400 unique titles with a 1996 dollar value of approximately $1,569,811. This contract will be for renewal of 1998 subscriptions, with options covering calendar years 1999 through 2002 subscriptions. A fixed price, indefinite delivery (indefinite quantity) type contract with a base period of one (1) month with options to extend the term for four (4), successive one (1) year periods; one eleven (11) month period, and options for additional quantities during each year, is anticipated. Multiple awards are also anticipated. Release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be approximately fifteen (15) days from publication date of this synopsis. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the National Library of Medicine.
