Johnson, 202-283-1212 The Internal Revenue Service will issue a solicitation for per-call, on-site maintenance (parts and labor) of Government-owned microcomputer and peripheral equipment located at the IRS National Office and its surrounding post of duty (within a 50-mil radius). This equipment includes personal computers (PC's), printers, scanners, monitors, CD ROM devices, etc. The principal period of perfromance for maintenance coverage is anticipated to be Monday through Friday, 8:00AM -- 5:00PM local time, exclusive o federal holidays. This acquisition will also require a depot/service center which includes establishing and staffing a depot facility for receiving and repairing laptop computers. The IRS shall mail-in the notebook computers for maintenance on an as-needed basis. The notebook computers will be shipped by the users to this facility. These computers are in use by IRS agents nationwide including Alaska, Hawaii, and Purto Rico. The acquisition will be offered for competition and is limited to eligible 8(a) firms. Eligibility to participate may be restricted to firms in either the developmental or transitional stage. All interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to request a opy of the solicitation. The applicable SIC code for this acquisition is 7378. All requests must be submitted in writing to the Internal Revenue Service/Constellation Centre, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Suite 700 M:P:I:E, ATTN:Robin Johnson, Contracting Officer, Oxon Hill Maryland 20745.
