P -- RECYCLING OF CONTAMINATED SCRAP METAL POC Procurement Department, (314) 441-8086. Expression of Interest Sought. MK Ferguson Company, is currently performing work under a Department of Energy (DOE) Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Parties are being sought who are interested in submitting a proposal for recycling of chemical and radiologically contaminated metal stockpiles. The metals under consideration are segregated into the following types: (1) structural steel shapes, (2) stainless steel, (3) carbon steel, (4) copper, (5) aluminum, (6) off-gas condensers, and (7) nickel alloy. MK-Ferguson will consider on-site decontamination followed by release for unrestricted use and/or release to a radiologically controlled facility. Parties interested in submitting a proposal must request a technical package which further describes the requirements and site conditions. A site tour will be held and the details concerning the tour will be contained in the technical package. MK-Ferguson reserves its right to reject all proposals and terminate this request at any time without obligation to any and all parties, if it is determined to be in the best interests of MK-Ferguson or the DOE not to proceed.
