S. Coast Guard Station Grand Isle, Louisiana. The work includes, but is not limited to the construction of family housing which consists of two duplex 4 bedroom units, three duplex 2 bedroom units, and one single 2 bedroom unit (total of 11 housing units). The unaccompanied personnel housing is a single structure with 10 units. All structures are supported on wood piles with the first floor elevated approximately 11 feet above ground surface. Major construction elements include wood frame walls with exterior vinyl siding and interior gypsum board, wood joists, fiberglass shingle roofing systems, interior and exterior painting, bituminous macadam surface course, standard utilities, and other related work. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification Nos. 08-X3769, 08- L4014, 08-M1577 and 08-M1706 and Drawing Nos. 08-X3769, 08-L4014, 08-M1577 and 08-M1706. All work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Plans (half-size), specifications, and all necessary bid documents will be available approximately 12 November 1996 and may be obtained by submitting a check in the amount of $25.00 per set (non-refundable) made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard. To receive a solicitation and be placed on the bidders' list interested parties must submit a written request. Telephone inquiries will not be honored. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
