C -- A/E DESIGN SERVICES DUE 112096 POC Laralee Horowitz, Contracting Officer Furnish A/E Design Services for Renovate Wards 13E and 5E, Project No. 527-305. The scope of work includes preparing complete design development drawings (DD-1 & DD-2) for renovations of Wards 13E and 5E including patient rooms, nurses station, treatment area, offices, isolation rooms and environmental/cosmetic upgrade of corridors. Design will include room layout upgrades to improve patient privacy including semi-private baths. Provide services of a C.I.H. to survey area and determine if any asbestos will be encountered during construction. Prepare detailed cost estimate including any impact cost. Field survey existing space to verify As-Built drawings. A/E shall incorporate into their designs all VA criterias and standards that apply to this project. A/E shall provide all necessary phasing requirements in their design to avoid interruption to the operation of the Medical Center. This is not a small business set-aside. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8712, Architectural Services (Other than Naval). Interested A/E firms located within a 100 mile geographical radius of this Medical Center are to submit Standard Forms 254 & 255 to issuing office by close of business 11/20/96. (0292)
