The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for scientific analysis and engineering design of high power fastwave and slow wave device concepts in Ka-Band and W-Band with the goal of achieving wide bandwidth and high power ()50kW peak). Concepts under investigation include gyroamplifiers, ubitrons, coupled-cavity TWTs and related devices. The contractor is expected to perform theoretical and experimental investigation of high performance millimeter wave power amplifiers, including detailed design of circuits, requisite electron guns, couplers and diagnostics. The experimental work will be performed on-site at the Naval Research Laboratory. The period of performance will cover a base year with two one year options.
