This is a notification to industry that it is the intent of the U.S. Army's Industrial Operations Command to examine new designs including reconfiguration of the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, an active Government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) facility in Kingsport, Tennessee, to meet peacetime requirements for various RDX/HMX explosive formulations. Upon selection and finalization of design, the command will initiate action in CY98 to competitively select a company for the construction/reconfiguration, facilities prove out, and production operations. A CBD announcement seeking interested contractors will be issued at a later date. During the design development phase of this effort, it is the HQ, IOC's intent to make design information available for viewing by interested contractors. Contractors will be notified in the CBD where and when this design information can be viewed. Be advised that there is no information available for viewing at this time.
