Contracting Officer, 504/678-0349. The Marine Corps requires 16 in-bore
sub caliber .50 training devices for tanks (Model AIMTEST/WALTENTINE
M256); 3 spare parts kits (commercial pack); and 16 ammunition
containers. safety certification is required. All functions performed
during normal operational use of the tank must be performed with
training device to include firing while moving without restrictions.
This requirement is for supplies for which the Government intends to
negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1
(b)(1). The intended sources is American Apex Corporation. This notice
of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested
persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirement by faxing quotes and descriptive literature to
504/678-5283. All quotes received before the closing date will be
considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to
compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this
notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See numbered
