Monitors must be one hand operation, self-contained units with audible tone alarm weighing no more than 3 to 4 lbs. Sensitivity must meet or exceed ASTM C1237-93. May utilize Sodium Iodide Nal(TI) crystal technology (Germanium crystals are not acceptable). Optional: Organic plastic scintillator. Temperature operational range: 32F to 100F. Minimum battery life with full charge: 60 hours. Digital readout: LCD, 4-digit numeric readout in counts per second w/background lighting for night operation. Count time on search mode: 0.05 seconds count w/0.4 moving average. Background time: 10 seconds.
