The Department of Treasury, Departmental Offices, intends to award a sole source contract to SAS Institute, Inc. for the lease of SAS Statistical analysis software for the Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, to include the following: BASE SAS, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/FSP, SAS/OR, SAS/ETS, SAS/EF, SAS/IML, SAS/ACCESS to Oracle, SAS All-In-1 interface, and SAS/STAT under the VMS operating system software, to run on two clustered VAX 8800's; one VAX 10000 series computer and one VAX 7000. The lease period is for the period 11/01/96 through September 30, 1997. This requirement is designated under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The VAX cluster series 8800 currently contains the above software. This software product must allow for the existing SAS applications to run without modifications and to provide the following: A comprehensive, integrated statistical analysis package, which includes reporting capability, data management, analysis capability, graphics, interactive data manipulation routines, interactive matrix manipulation routines, statistical routines, planning and forecasting software, and project management software. The software must be fully integrated with the BASE SAS product so that any data manipulation, analysis or reporting style can be completed totally within the SAS software package without outside software package interface.
