This is an enterprise class server that supports a wide variety of industry standard and 2200 Series applications. The server functions through close coupling of heterogeneous architectures. Each architecture can be viewed as a node; the custom node supports the traditional 2200 environment; and a Intel node supports the UNIX operating system. The 2200 environment node consist of a dual partitioned three processor system with 256 Mega bytes of memory per partition for a total of 512 Mega bytes of main memory. The 2200 node will also consist of the following hardware: two consoles; Single Point Operations (SPO) and X-terminal; Ethernet LAN connection; FDDII/F to connect to the Intel node; two USP5104 cache disk subsystems, one with 28 disk drives (total 118 GB) and 1280 MB of cache, one with 32 disk drives (total 134.9 GB) and 1280 MB of cache; six BMC racks with IOPs, 23 block mux channels and required cabinets and cables to provide a functional system. The Intel node will consist of two 150 MHz Pentium processors (capable of upgrading to 2090 MHz Pentium Pro processors) with 512 MB of memory, 24 GB of disk storage, internal CD-ROM, 1GB quarter inch cartridge tape drive, 3.5''diskette drive, 7 PCI expansion slots, 5 EISA expansion slots, 2 parallel printer ports, 4 RS232 asynchronous ports, 8 MM tape library, 4MM tape library, monitor, keyboard, mouse, cabinets and cables to provide a functional system. The server shall be provided with the following software: IXS440-2UIOE package which provides software for the custom 2200 node, software for the Intel node, and a suite of software products that integrate the two nodes together. DATA 1100; ASCII COBOL; ASCII FORTRAN; Checkpoint/Restart; QLP PCIOS; PERCON; Define File Processor, SORT; PADS; CULL; IACULL;IPF; SMART; CMS 1100; UDS Kernal; UDS RDMS; OADE; OPE; PathMate; SPO1/F; SMART; SIMAN; and other software required to provide a functional system. In addition the BOC will require maintenance for the above equipment and software for 60 months. See Note 22. (0241)
