Q -- STRESS/BIOFEEDBACK CLINICIAN SOL IFB 118-0151 DUE 092596 POC Curtis A. Courtney, Contracting Officer, (606) 253-8885. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Petersburg, VA, has a requirement for a Stress/Biofeedback Clinician. At a minnimum, the contractor must posses a Bachelors Degree in a medical area (i.e., nursing, physician assistant, etc.) from an accredited university or college, and one year of general experience in HIV prevention. The Contractor shall provide stress management/biofeedback services to referred inmates. These will typically be inmate patients with psychosomatic illnesses. The contractor will lead an inmate group of approximately 10 inmate patients in stress management procedures, as well as provide an individualized stress clinic for those unresponsive to the group approach. These services are to be performed at the FCI. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the institution will be required to submit to Security Clearances. This will be a competitive procurement awarded to the the responsible and responsive bidder with the lowest price. Approximately 100 sessions will be required per contract year, with each session equal to 2 hours. Sessions will normally be required on Tuesdays and Thurdays between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, but not exclusively. The Base Year of the contract shall be from date of award through twelve months, with four (4) one year option periods for renewal. It is anticipated solicitation packages will be mailed approximately September 10, 1996, with an approximate due date of September 25, 1996. It is anticipated this solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This is a 100% small business set-aside. No collect calls will be accepted. See Numbered Note(s): 1.
