F -- HAZARDOUS MATERIALS HANDLING AND DISPOSAL SERVICES SOL RFP 1434-WR-97-SS-00001 DUE 091796 POC Contact Point Phyllis Yates, Contracting Officer, 415/329-4163, FAX 415/329-5480 The U.S. Geological Survey, Western Region Service Center, requires a contract for the proper handling, packing, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials produced by USGS laboratories in Menlo Park, Palo Alto, and Redwood City, CA. The services will support USGS occupational health, safety and environmental programs in accordance with current OSHA, EPA, DOT and state and local requirements. Contractor will be a registered Hazardous Waste Handler in the state of California and must possess a Certificate of Compliance from the California Highway Patrol for vehicles used to haul hazardous materials. A time-and-materials type contract is contemplated. Expected performance period 10/1/96 through 9/30/97 with 4 one-year options to extend the contract through 9/30/01.
