The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, intends to generate a sole source modification, under authority of FAR 6.302.1 Only One Responsible Source, to contract N00600-93-D-0173 with International Power Machines for Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems for the Naval Facilities Engineering Services Center ICDet, at 901 M Street SE, Washington, DC 20374-5018. The modification will extend contract performance for six (6) months (01 October 1996 through 31 March 1997) with a three (3) month option thereby allowing sufficient time for the government to procure the Uninterrupted Power Supply systems through full and open competition. Contract N00600-93-D-0173 provides for a variety of Uninterrupted Power Supplies ranging from 15 KVA to 100 KVA, with spare parts, maintenance bypass cabinets, 50/60 Hz capabilities, emergency power off switches, and assorted batteries. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation exists, and any responses received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22. (0212)
