The USAF Europe Contracting Squadron, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Kaiserlautern, Germany is seeking qualified sources to provide: a. 1 Each Honing machine, vertical, with automatic honing cycle, solid, heavy duty type, to be used 6 hrs per day, 5 days per week, power source: 380V/50cycle, machine must be able to set to size and run fully automatically types of cylinders to be honed: single cylinder, in-line cylinder and V8-cylinder engines, including all necessary mounting devices for able types of engine blocks, cooling device include. filtering system and 2 each add. filter, honing oil, honing head assemblies, precision heavy duty hone head assembly, dial bore gage, dial bore setting fixture, stone depth scale and holder, grit stones, spare part list and instruction manual. Equipment must be set up and made operational by contractor. b. 2 Each cylinder boring machines, for worn out cylinders of engine blocks up to oversize. Types of engine blocks to be reworked: single cylinder, in-line cylinder and V8-cylinder engine blocks. With airfloat spindle base for positioning and measuring, 5 sets standard tool bits, all necessary mounting devices for above types of engines, include. side shift V-8 mounting device, depth dial indicator assembly, mechanical run-out indicator, automatic control, micro processor storage for instand set-up and block changes, parts manual and instruction manual in english/german language.
