This is construction project #96-0016 which consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the Correct Fire/Life Safety Deficiencies project. Work is to include the installation of a drainage system for five existing sprinkler test stations and the installation of a clean agent fire extinguishing system to protect two automated information storage systems (AISS) and the nominal 900 square foot enclosed area which houses them. Interior wall sections shall be repaired. The work shall be performed by a mechanical contractor who has experience in clean agent extinguishing system construction and general plumbing. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 120 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The approximate cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This work is located at the Defense Mapping Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, Building 36, St. Louis, MO. SIC 1711.
