Skipper, (912) 767-1868 (Site Code DAKF10) The Army requires a contract to construct Addition to Dental Clinic, Building 251, Fort Stewart, Georgia. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (1) Enclose open porch into waiting room. Convert Mechanical room into Central Sterilization. (2) Remove railings from porch, leave 6'' wood columns. (3) Remove existing four windows from present waiting room and save for reinstallation in new waiting room. (4) Construct 6'' stud wall in line with existing 6'' wood columns. Install 1/2'' plywood sheathing with 15# felt vapor barrier over plywood. Install white vinyl siding with insulation over sheathing on exterior, with windows and doors built into wall. Insulate wall with R-13 foil faced insulation. Install 1/2'' gypsum board on interior walls and ceiling and finish. Paint according to finish schedule and paint specifications. (5) Over existing 2'' x 6'' wood deck flooring on open porch, install a 15# felt vapor barrier with 1/2'' plywood over and then a 3/8'' underlayment plywood ready to receive finish floor covering, VCT with 4'' vinyl base at wall line. (6) Remove vinyl siding and vinyl ceiling on porch area. Install finished walls and ceilings. (7) Remove and replace lighting on porch into new waiting room. Rework sprinkler system on open porch as require for enclosed waiting room. (8) Install thru the wall heat pumps to condition new waiting area. (9) The existing mechanical room shall be converted into Central Sterilization by installing 2x4 stud walls, 1/2'' gypsum wall board finished and painted, doors and windows, finished floor covering, acoustial ceilings with insulation, lighting, window heat pump, cabinets and counters with sink and necessary plumbing, and general painting of the room. (10) Construct storage room. (11) Construct new office in existing waiting room. (12) Existing Dental Clinic, Audio, and remaining open porches shall also be painted. Performance shall be completed within 75 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The SIC for this project is 1542. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. There is a non- refundable fee in the amount of $50.00 for this solicitation.
