Ward, (801) 524-5248, Contracting Officer The work is situated at Flaming Gorge Dam, approximately 44 miles north of Vernal, Utah. The principal components of the work are providing a preengineered bridge; constructing a concrete and steel structure that will house stairs, an elevated platform, and an elevator; and providing an elevator. The bridge will be 8 feet wide and 85 feet long and will span over a state highway. The concrete structure consists of a tower that will be 33 feet high 10 feet wide and 17 feet long with a 5 foot deep pit for the elevator shaft and a mechanical room attached to the side of the tower that will be 9 feet high 8 feet wide and 12 feet long. Attached to the concrete tower will be an elevated deck that is supported by a steel frame. The elevator will be housed in the tower and will service two levels. Rock excavation will be required but blasting will not be allowed. Estimated price range is $250,001 to $500,000.
