70 -- MAINTENANCE OF OPTICAL MARK READERS POC Contact Terry Kraker, (309) 782-8570, Contract Specialist The Rock Island Arsenal is seeking possible sources and COST estimates for monthly maintenance for 69 EA national computer systems optical Mark readers (omr) and the providing of software licenses and support at Military entrance stations (meps) located in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and at headquarters, United States Military entrance processing commande (usmepcom) for a five year system life. The contractor shall provide availability maintenance which is comprised of preventative and remedial maintenance at the sites where the omr equipment is installed (currently 66 sites). Additional locations may be added upon mutual agreement between the contractor and the Government. Availability maintenance shall include (for all sites) all labor, parts, tools and test equipment. The contractor shall Bear all expenses necessary to achieve the required system availability ( not less than 95% per month for each omr system), except expenses for repair caused by fault or negligence of the Government. The contractor shall provide all scantool software licenses needed to operate theomr'S at usmepcom and all Field sites as well as the necessary site licenses for the applicable operating system and speciality packages. Software licenses are required for each site location. Response time for remedial maintenance after notification by the Government is not later than 6 hours. The omr systems shall be repaired and operating within 24 hours (excluding weekends and legal holidays) after thecontractor'S response to the call.
