Alteration of and addition to two dormitories, buildings 5902 and 5910. The existing structures are 41 X 206 feet, three-story, dormitories built in the late 1950's with gang latrines and the room entry doors opening off of interior corridors. The facilities each provide living quarters for 140 unaccompanied enlisted personnel with a grade mix of E-1 to E-4. The upgraded facilities require TV lounges, game rooms, laundry rooms, microwave/vending rooms, an office for each dormitory manager, public rest rooms, storage locker rooms, drinking fountains, and public telephones. Also required is a conversion to provide for exterior entrances, semi-private bathrooms, and individual HVAC controls for bedrooms. New AF 1+1 standard requires added kitchen. Estimated cost range of this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. An advanced non-refundable fee of $55.00 (half size) and $85.00 (full size) is required for each set of specifications.
