Edwards, Contracting Officer. Second correction to initial publication of this announcement: This announcement is open and effective until 21 Jun 96. There will be no formal request for proposals or other solicitations regarding this announcement. Proposals shall be submitted with an original, plus three (3) copies, not exceeding 50 double spaced pages. Proposals shall be mailed to 325th CONS/LGCX, 501 Illinois Ave., Suite 5, Tyndall AFB, FL 32403-5526 Attn: Ginny Garner no later than 21 Jun 1996, 3:00 P.,M. C.S.T., in order to be considered for an award. This is an unrestricted solicitation. Proposals submitted after 21 Jun 96 may be reviewed and held for possible action for a period of one year from receipt of proposal at the discretion of the Air Force. Individual proposals will be evaluated as they are received. Unpriced options will not be considered for award. CORRECTION TO B--REQUIREMENTS: (1) Technical Description: Change the operating temperature of the HTR from ``500-900'' degrees Celsius'' to ``a minimum of 900 degrees Celsius''; change the operating pressure of the HTR from ``near ambient to 1000 psig'' to ``near ambient to 100 psig''; change the ACRS gas flow rate from ``0.1 to 5.0 liters/min'' to ``0.1 to 5.0 standard liters/min''. The following information is added: ``The ACRS will have four independently controlled gas feed modules designed to receive feed gases from an external source at 3000 psig and regulate to system operating pressure.'' Add ``The design feed gas flow rate for the HTR is from 5.0 to 20.0 standard liters per minute based on the combined flow rates of the four gas supply modules in the core ACRS.'' Add ``The HTR will have multiple reactors, in a fixed or easily interchangeable configuration, that are designed to enable a range of packed-bed catalysts volumes. Reactor designs will enable testing at gas hourly space velocities from less than 10,000 to over 150,000 hr-1 at the design temperatures, pressures and flow rates for the HTR''. Add ``Operation, safety, and maintenance training will be provided at the contractor's facility for up to four Air Force personnel or Air Force contractors, for a period not to exceed one week.''
