The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to procure Data to Video Encoders, Merlin Engineering Works, Model ME981, 6 each, on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis from Merlin Engineering Works, Palo Alto, CA. The unit's maximum size is 6'' (w) x 5'' (h) x 6'' in order to fit into the instrumentation pod on the AV8-B aircraft. The encoder must be electronically compatible with Merlin ME-991 PCM video to data encoders. The unit shall convert data to a format capable of being recorded on a standard industrial video recorder/reproducer, accept NRZ, MIL-STD-1553 A/B or RS 422 data, encode it and out put as composite 525 line NTSC video.
