202/482-1512. The Turkish Ministry of National Defense invites
qualified US firms to compete on the basis of NATO international
competitive bidding for the provision of radomes at five air defense
radar sites in Turkey: Pazar, Finike, Mardin, Bartin and Persembe. The
types of radars at these sites are three HR-3000 Hughes and two
AN/FPS-117 General Electric. The project consists of (1) providing and
installing complete radome equipment, (2) providing special tools and
test equipment necessary to operate and maintain the system, (3)
providing 90-days spare parts for items one and two above, (4)
conducting necessary tests, trials and control to verify the
performance of the system and (5) providing documentation and training.
The expected life cycle of the system to be procured will be twenty
years. Interested firms should have NATO Restricted Clearance. All
applicants must be certified to compete in NATO ICB by the US
Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications. Submit all
