The NASA Lewis Research Center (LeRC) has concluded its review of the capability statements submitted in response to the Management Operations Contract 1 (MOC 1) Sources Sought Synopsis which appeared in the Commerce Business Daily on July 25, 1995. LeRC has decided to procure MOC 1 as a national 8(a) competition. MOC 1 is the follow-on to the current Class II contract (NAS3-26360). The Class II contract consists of Logistics, Technical Information, and Administrative and Clerical Support. Security Services, which is part of the current Class II contract, is being excluded from the MOC 1 procurement. In addition, LeRC has decided to include the following services in MOC 1: Operation of the NASA Lewis Visitor Information Center, Operation of the NASA Lewis Learning Center, Telephone Inventory, and Travel Services. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for the MOC 1 procurement is 8744 with a size standard of $20.0M. It is anticipated that a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued in the first quarter of calendar year 1996 with the final RFP being issued in the second quarter of calendar year 1996. The anticipated award date of the MOC 1 contract is in the third quarter of calendar year 1996. Please note that the above schedule is tentative.
