The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for a firm fixed-price contract for sewer system repairs at Bldg S780, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard on Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes removal of the existing 4'' sewer hose connections and risers encased in concrete by sawcutting and chipping; removal of existing 6'' steam piping; asbestos containing material abatement; concrete rubble disposal; installation of 4'' and 6'' ductile iron sewer lines, sewer hose connections with quick disconnect fittings, concrete coring, sawcutting of asphalt pavement, excavation, backfill, and asphalt pavement repair in the drydock utility pipe tunnel for Bldg S780. The solicitation is a performance specification that represents the Government's minimum requirements. The contractor is responsible for and shall provide overall coordination and design of construction details (100% design drawings, shop drawings, etc.) and ensure satisfactory completion of all work covered under this contract.
