R -- FEDLINK INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SERVICES DELIVERY ORDER POC ADEV/CA. The Library of Congress intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to renew a subscription with Chemical Abstacts Service for the continued use and access of their database by Chemical and Biological Defense Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. STN International (STN) is a joint, cooperative, international, online, information retrieval service offered by the American Chemical Society through its Chemical Abstracts Service division, the Fachinformationszentrum Karlsruhe (FIZ Karlsruhe) and the Japan Information Center of Science and Technology (JICST). With STN, searchers have access to over 100 of the world's best scientific and technical databases from database suppliers in many different countries. STN offers information in a variety of areas including chemistry, engineering, math, physics, geology, biotechnology, thermodynamics, energy, patents, and materials science. STN's bibliographic, structure, numeric, and full-text databases are all searchable using the same Messenger command language. A searcher's query in one database can easily be transferred to another database to obtain information. Services will be continued through September 30, 1996.
