SOL N62269-96-R-0008 DUE 102395 POC Point of Contact: Purchase Service Section, Code 84573, Ms. Fran Johnson, (215) 441-2683 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division - Warminster, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company, Marietta, GA, for testing of the existing ES-3A Vapor Cycle system with a new refrigerant, HFC-134a. The effort includes testing the Vapor Cycle System (VCS) with CFC-12 refrigerant and with non-ozone depleting HFC-134a refrigerant to determine the impact of the new fluid on cooling performance. Any changes necessary to maintain the cooling performance of the system as it exists using CFC-12 will subsequently be tested. The contractor shall furnish engineering design, development, analysis, testing, test article, reports, drawings, data. Vendors who believe they can satisfy the Government's requirements are invited to submit an affirmative response. To be considered an affirmative response, vendors must submit written data and documentation which demonstrates knowledge of and relevant data necessary to incorporate the Environmentally Compatible Refrigerant HFC-134a into a redesigned Vapor Cycle System on the ES-3A aircraft.
