Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials and supplies required to furnish and install an emergency assistance center (call boxes) with control switches and status display, emergency assistance center controller board. Work will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines Hospital, Hines Il. (Hines Il. is located approximately 13 miles west of Downtown Chicago). Work will include, but is not limited to the establishment of a communication link between the controller board and central and remote interfaces, and to prepare and install emergency intercom pedestals, Work shall also include providing sufficient power for the strobe function on each pedestal and to provide surge and emi/rfi protection for the total system. All work will be performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and all applicable codes and standards. Bid documents will be available after August 14, 1995, by written request to the Contracting Officer, accompanied by a refundable deposit check of $35.00. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit planned for August 24, 1995, at 10:30am local time. Bid opening date is scheduled for September 14, 1995 at 1:30pm local time. Estimated cost range is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. SIC= 1731, $7ml. Award is subject to a 90 day acceptance period. Award will be pending availability of funds.
