Q -- CARDIOPULMONARY PERFUSIONIST SOL 648-61-95 DUE 090495 POC Contact Point, Mary Cray, (503)273-5375 Furnish the services of Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist at the VA Medical Center, Portland, Oregon, for a year beginning October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996; with two (2) one year renewal options. The perfusionist/technician shall be responsible for: (a) setting up and operating the perfusion and related equipment and perform associated duties and responsibilities; (b) maintaining a complete record of perfused fluids on by-pass as well as other required records relative to perfusion activities; (c) responsible for setting up and operating the balloon pump and associated duties and responsibilities; (d) provide response to emergency calls within forty-five minutes after notification; (e) provide stand-by service, in-house, with cardiopulmonary perfusionist available in operating room with bypass unit in readiness. Contractor shall be licensed, board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusionist. A perfusionist will be required to be on site during normal working hours in the operating room. The perfusionist must be available during other than normal working hours on an ''as needed'' basis. Services during liver transplants may be required. Personnel qualified to perform the requirements must request solicitation documents in writing.
