Equipment for Demilitarization of Energetic Materials, originally published in March 1995 as Solicitation Number MNK-95-0019, has been approved for an 8(a) setaside. The Small Business Administration has given authority to negotiate on a sole-source, local-buy basis with Environmental & Safety Engineering Inc (EASE, Inc), 9 Exchange Place, Suite 1115, Salt Lake City UT 84111. Upon written request, the contracting officer will make a source list available to any firm that submitted a qualification package under the previous synopsis. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition. The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to request information, pose questions, and voice concerns before resorting to use of the Ombudsman.
