Area Power Administration has an initial requirement for 12 rack-mount
Sequential Event Recorder Systems. The solicitation will also include
options for 6 additional Sequential Event Recorder Systems. The
Sequential Event Recorders will be used in a utility substation
environment to monitor and record relay and power system equipment
alarm and status contacts, including the chronological sequence of
occurrence of changes of state of each input contact. Recorder
electronics and memory shall be a solid state design having no moving
parts. The recorder shall meet or exceed all the latest ANSI
requirements for transient and surge protection. The data collected by
these recorders will be used by the Power System Dispatchers,
Operation Engineers, and Protection Engineers for system fault analysis
and system protection verification. This acquisition is unrestricted.
All responsible offerors may submit an offer. Issue date is on or about
August 7, 1995. Any questions or clarifications received after 3:00 PM
(MST), August 25, 1995, may or may not be responded to by the
Government, at its discretion. All requests must be in writing.
