Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) NJ, is seeking
sources, industry comments, and product information on Bearing
Installation and Removal Tool Kits capable of installing and removing
various S-3 aircraft bearings as a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or
Nondevelopmental item (NDI) solution that meets the Navy's
requirements. The tool kits will be utilized at the ''O'' level of
maintenance. The Statement of Work is as follows: The contractor shall
design, fabricate, test and deliver a tool set, which will be used at
the organizational level maintenance to properly remove and install
bearings on S-3 aircraft components. The subject tool set shall be
capable of properly removing and installing a wide variety of bearing
sizes listed herein. The bearing sizes are #1- MS21230-6, #2-
MS21242SBK, #3- wSBS12ATC29, #4- MS21232-6, #5- MS21230-5, #6-
MS21230-7, #7- mS14104-4, #8- MS14102-5, #9- MS14101-5, #10- MS14101-6,
#11- mS14101-8, #12- MS14101-9, #13- MS14101-12, #14- MS14101-14, #15-
mS14103-4, #16- MS14103-9, #17- MS14103-12, #18- MS21230-12, #19-
mS21232-4, #20- MS21232-6, #21- MS21230-9, #22- MS28913-4A, #23-
mS28913-4C. The landing gear door actuator bearings are #22-
mS21230-10, #23- MS21230-8 and #24- MS21232-8. The tool set shall be
housed in a ''one man carry'', light weight, compact and rugged case
constructed of ABS plastic injection molded shell, and capable of being
used in naval/oceanic environment and carried around the flight line or
carrier deck by maintenance personnel. The case design shall
incorporate molded in hinge, which shall run the length of the case
providing a strong closure. All submittals shall contain available
technical and test data, pertinent brochures and user information which
may provide an in depth assessment of the proposed equipment. Those
sources interested in this Request for Information are invited to
submit their information, and a description of any currently available
product which meets our requirements. This is not a Request for
Proposal and no solicitation is available. The Government will not
respond to any requests for solicitation packages under this Request
for Information. The Government will not pay for any information
required in response to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any
respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided
