Estimated Cost: $40,000,000 to $50,000,000. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 28.1- Bonds: Bid Guarantee shall be 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3.0 million; Performance Bond shall be 100% of the original bid price; Payment Bond shall be $2.5 million if contract price exceeds $5.0 million. The purpose of this announcement is to establish responsible small business sources interested in the solicitation. Abbreviated Work Summary: Briefly, and without force and effect upon contract documents, work of contract can be summarized as follows: Complete renovation; including replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roof, exterior windows, elevator cab interiors, and repair of the architectural features. Demolition of the interior spaces has been accomplished under another contract. Basis of Award: Base Bid plus unit prices for tenant fit out; plus alternates for exterior cleaning and plaza repairs; and options for tenant fit out such as auditorium seating millwork, clerestory interior offices and credenzas in conference rooms. The work shall commence within one calendar day after the Contractor receives Notice to Proceed and shall be completed ready for use not later than 546 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, or any extension, the Contractor shall pay to the Government as liquidated damages, the sum of $1,600 for each day of delay.
