The project, located at Sandston, Virginia, consist of construction of a single-story slab-on-grade with veneer and back-up masonry load-bearing walls, with steel bar joists supporting metal roof decking with tapered roof insulation and built-up roofing. Exterior supporting facilities include hardstand access road, parking areas, chain-link fencing, utility work, landscaping, and sediment and erosion control. The Standard Industrial Classified (SIC) Code is 1542. The maximum construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance time is 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. This proposed contract is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible, but no later than 7 working days after the appearance of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office above evidence of capability to perform including a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. This notification must include specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform as a prime contractor on projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work, financial status and bonding capabilities should be included. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted without further notice. Therefore replies to this notice are requested from all interested concerns, as well as SDB concerns.
