The Defense Electronics Supply Center (DESC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM), the award of a modification to contract DLA900-88-D-0392. Subject modification will extend the period of performance an additional six (6) months from 1 Oct 95 to 30 Mar 96, with the possibility of two (2) three-month extension options (which would extend to 30 Sep 96). ERIM currently operates the Infrared Information Analysis (IRIA) Center under the subject contract. The effort includes, but is not limited to: The collection, review, analysis, appraisal, summary and dissemination of pertinent and timely information in the areas of infrared (IR), electro-magnetic (EM) and electro-optic (EO) data, information methodologies, models and analysis relating to military remote sensing technology, encompassing the ultraviolet through the microwave regions of the EM spectrum in technologies. DESC believes that ERIM is the only known source capable of meeting all of the Government's minimum requirements for this effort. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to perform the requirement. This is not a competitive procurement and no solicitation is available. See Note 22. (121)
